Freedom Denied was held by the SIA (Students For Islamic Awareness) in partner-ship with the ASU (Arab Student Union) on January 1, 2011 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Campus. Dr. Norman Finkelstein, the guest speaker at the event, discussed the injustices of the Palestinians and the illegal blockade of Gaza. He also spoke about the Mavi Marmara Flotilla which was attacked by the Israeli Forces in the International waters which ended up in killing 9 peace activists and wounding several others.
